Dr. Mark Shaw is Executive Director of Vision of Hope, a residential ministry for women at Faith Church, Lafayette, Indiana. He serves as the overseeing pastor, shepherding the staff, interns, and residents in that ministry. He teaches the truth and hope found in God’s Word concerning addictions of all types, eating disorders, self-harm habits, and other enslaving issues. In 2007, Mark founded Truth in Love Ministries with the goal of making disciple-makers of others who share his passion for speaking the truth in love for the building up of the Body of Christ. Author of 19 publications, he’s sold more than 50,000 books. Christian readers appreciate his down to earth style of communicating biblical truths. Mark and his wife Mary have 4 children, and can often be found enjoying family time around a board game, on the tennis court, or out on a hiking trail.

Susie Alicandro knows the Lover of Her Soul, Jesus Christ, and has submitted to His tender call to help other women pursue an intimate knowledge of Him. Her heart’s desire is to be solely biblical and entirely practical, fully convinced that God desires to heal hearts and set captives free. Susie holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social and Rehabilitative Services and is one of the founding members of Healing Hearts Ministries, involved since its inception in 1988. She has counseled women and led Healing Hearts Bible studies for the last 27 years in churches and women’s shelters, and has shared her own testimony of God’s amazing grace and healing in churches, workshops, and at women’s events. Susie recently left her position as Regional Director in Healing Hearts to follow God’s call to help plant One Hope Church in Federal Way, WA. She loves teaching Bible studies at her home church. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Jim, since 1980, and has three outstanding grown and married children and two cherished grandchildren who call her Nonni, with two more on the way!

Chandra D. Jarrett has become a global voice of encouragement, education and empowerment, motivating women to walk in their God-ordained destiny. Life Coach, International Speaker and Founder of WOWW!, Chandra’s journey began in Nashville, TN where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee State University. Upon graduation, Chandra entered corporate America and became a successful engineer with General Motors. Being raised in a dysfunctional family and broken society proved to be a precursor for Chandra to be sexually, emotionally, and spiritually abused in the church. Helplessly and hopelessly spinning in sexual immorality, through two-failed marriages, foreclosures, and repossessions, Chandra’s life plunged her into the deep waters of shame, failure, depression, and suicidal thoughts. She hated her pain, herself, and her life. Yet, she loved the Lord and longed to be healed, whole, and set free. Little did Chandra know that out of these bitter waters of her pain, she would emerge as a triumphant, resurrected woman with a powerful, transformative voice of healing, freedom, and wholeness. Through coaching, conferences and teaching, Chandra helps women overcome and live in victory! A friend told Chandra about Healing Hearts’ post-abortive bible study, Binding Up the Brokenhearted. After being depressed and physically ill for twenty-five years, the Lord healed her on November 8, 2010, the first night she attended the study. In 2012, Chandra joined the staff of the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater and has become a voice for life, offering hope and healing to women (and men) who are post-abortive.

Camille Cates, 19-year veteran of youth ministry, brings her experience and wisdom gained from “life with teenagers” to audiences and readers alike. She has served with Healing Hearts Ministries International as a trained lay-counselor since 1999. In 2010, she became the Youth Division Director for Healing Hearts and co-authored the Bible study “First Love: Embracing a Love that Lasts,” a discipleship study written for young women ages 13 and older. Camille has served as an abstinence educator in the public school system where she has witnessed first-hand the everyday struggles of thousands of students. As a public speaker, she has been the keynote presenter for various Pregnancy Care Center events as well as women’s ministry events. She is currently completing her biblical counseling certification through ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors). Camille and her husband, Troy, served in full-time youth ministry from 1995 to 2010. They have three children together and currently reside in the Cincinnati, Ohio metro area.

Sharon Wood has been married for 52 years, has three grown children and 4 grandchildren. She became a Healing Hearts certified counselor for “The Hem of His Garment” in 2009 and recently moved to Ogden, Utah, giving her the distinction as the “only leader on the ground” in Utah. Always passionate about helping hurting women of all ages, Sharon has actively served in women’s ministry as a Bible teacher for almost 40 years and has authored many Bible studies. Planning retreats and “Soul Saturday” events, Sharon constantly has her hand in ministering to the needs of women in her church. This year she will begin leading discipleship training for the women’s ministry team at Refuge Church.
